No matter what the weather, nothing beats a walk along the promenade at Stonehaven beach for a family day out, and who can go to Stonehaven without a visit to The Bay Fish and Chips?
So when I was invited along to the award winning takeaway for a blogger visit to sample their delicious fish and chips and to check out its recent revamp, it was the perfect opportunity to take my 11 week old son for his first visit to a place we’ll spend many a family day out!

The first thing I noticed about the refurbishment as I walked along to the shop was the new windows, they look really stylish and will soon play a key part of the business’ new click and collect service.
Upon entering I took in the bright, airy and modern look and was welcomed with that mouthwatering smell of fresh fish and homemade chips - I knew I was in for a treat there and then - and I wasn’t disappointed when I sampled the seafood platter, fish and chips and their amazing tartar sauce.
Sustainability is a top priority for the business which has invested £250,000 into the revamp as well as brand new equipment including the installation of a gluten-free only fryer. The shop also plans to launch its click and collect service shortly so customers can pre-order, this will be especially handy for me when I have my son in his pram.

Next time you’re planning a family day out, make sure a visit to The Bay Fish and Chips and a walk along the promenade is top of your list, we’ll certainly be visiting again soon 😊
