As someone who loves planning, research and organisation in everything I do and as first-time parents to be, we’ll take as much advice and tips as we can get! – so when I came across Mamas & Papas Parents to Be event while browsing their site – I registered to attend straight away. My husband, excited to be involved in planning for our arrival in December, was completely onboard to come along too.
The Mamas & papas Parents to Be events are held in store for 2 hours and are completely free to attend with no purchase necessary. The events are designed to provide expert advice to expectant parents and are tailored to each store location with expert talks including from the Mamas & Papas in-store team. The complimentary refreshments and free goodie bag is also a lovely touch.
My husband and I both found the event in the Aberdeen store really informative and the staff made us feel special and at ease and were on hand to offer advice throughout the morning. We found the product demo for the car seat and isofix base especially beneficial as we had never seen or used an isofix base before!
We’ve both done first aid training for in the workplace previously, but it was great to be provided with a short talk on first aid for babies and children in particular and it has encouraged us to do a full course. There were also talks from suppliers who run classes for babies in our local area including baby massage and baby sensory classes – we hadn't came across these before so it was a great way to find out about them and what they offer.
As well as our 3-piece nursery furniture set, here are some links to some other little bits and bobs we purchased:
You can find out when the next Mamas & Papas Parents to Be event will be at your nearest store as well as register to attend here: https://www.mamasandpapas.com/en-gb/parents-to-be
