Take care, stay safe, stay home, be kind

There’s a whole world out there,

That you’re eager to explore,

But right now, for our safety,

We have to stay indoors.

Everything’s been cancelled,

And most places are closed,

We’re faced with much uncertainty,

And there will be many lows.

We have to stay away,

From family and those we hold dear,

If you’re closer than 2 metres,

It’s probably too near.

It may seem a lot to ask,

To stay home and wait it out,

But when this has all passed,

We’ll be glad we did no doubt.

So hold back on the handshakes & the hugs,

Wash your hands, don’t touch your face,

And though you may think it’s okay,

Don’t all swarm to parks, beaches and lakes.

We are all in this together,

Our key workers on the front line,

We have to think of each other,

In this unprecedented time.

So take care, stay safe, stay home, be kind,

And we will all be back stronger on the other side.
